Telling Muslim America will be CME’s inaugural scholarly conference, bringing together leading scholars to explore the histories, communities, and experiences that have shaped Muslim life in the United States. Through two days of focused conversations spanning different periods, communities, and fields of study, the conference will seek to strengthen Muslim American Studies as a growing field of scholarship and create new connections across its diverse histories.

Organized by CME Co-Director Dr. Yasmin Saikia (President of South Asia Muslim Studies Association) in partnership with the Hardt-Nickachos Peace Studies Program. This full-day international symposium explored "Majoritarianism and Community Resilience in Modern India: Histories, Modalities, Futures."

CME co-sponsored this two-day international conference, which brought together more than 850 participants. CME Co-Director Dr. Yasmin Saikia delivered the keynote address, “From Partition’s Wounds to Liberation’s Silences.”
