Teaching and Curriculum The Center of Muslim Experience in the US is at the forefront of creating and employing new pedagogies for deepening understanding, appreciation, and empathy towards socio-cultural differences. Islamic and American Muslim Studies Building on ASU existing programs in various facets of Islamic studies, the Center of Muslim Experience in the US is partnering with interested faculty, departments, and schools to develop new courses on Muslim Americans and hire new faculty with research and teaching interests on various facets of Muslim American experiences. Pedagogies of Difference This project focuses on creating new pedagogies by exploring alternative methodologies that draw from diverse religious traditions to communicate and help student learning of cultural differences and real-world problems.
