Research The Center of Muslim Experience in the US conducts transformative research, documenting the diverse conditions, places, and experiences of Muslims across American history, with a particular concern with the Muslim experience in Arizona. Muslims and Global Phoenix The greater Phoenix region is an international hub with global reach, home to a rich diversity of cultures and communities that contribute to building a strong and dynamic American society. Significant contributors to the rich multicultural fabric and thriving economy of Phoenix are Muslims from a diversity of ethnic and national backgrounds. Connections Fellowship Program The Connections fellowship program brings together ASU faculty and graduate students, local community college faculty, as well as short-term research fellows and journalists, to explore and illuminate the complexities of Muslim experiences in America. American Belonging Through student-to-student research, his project highlights the experiences and stories of ASU’s diverse Muslim students, particularly refugees. Annual Lecture The annual lecture series invites an internationally reputed scholar whose work has a deep impact on education and inter-community relationships to deliver a public lecture and facilitate community outreach.
