Muslim Women and Leadership

At the heart of many misconceptions of Islam are Muslim women. Through an interdisciplinary approach and partnership with diverse community members, this project addresses the particular challenges Muslim women face, their strategies for creating a place in the U.S. and their leadership as Muslim Americans. 

The center will develop special workshops, conferences, public lectures and community outreach to schools, community colleges and other local organizations to educate and dispel misconceptions about Muslim women and to advance scholarship of ASU faculty and graduate students on American Muslim women.
